What Is Alopecia Areata?
Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks healthy hair follicles, causing patchy hair loss on the scalp, beard, eyebrows, or eyelashes. It can appear suddenly at any age, in anyone, often with no prior warning.

Patchy Alopecia Areata
Smooth, round patches of hair loss on the scalp. This is the most common presentation and often the first sign that something has changed.
Beard Alopecia
Patchy loss within the beard area. Frequently appears suddenly and can affect men of any age, with or without scalp involvement.
